Saving Samuel Eastepp (Part II)

Tue Jul 14, 2009, 8:36 AM
So yesterday, Sam called me up and wanted me and my brother to come to his house. He said it wouldn't take long, but that he had something to talk with us about.

This had two main problems:

1) Why did he need to see my brother? He's never found my brother even remotely interesting. This prompted me to believe that what he wanted to talk about was a band. However, this brings out a second problem.

2) Why did he want to see us in person? I know he couldn't talk to my brother if he just called me, but I could talk to him afterward. Furthermore, our parents weren't going to drop us off and pick us up for something that "wouldn't take long". We live in Louisiana, it's a 15-minute bike ride, and it was 90 degrees outside. What he wanted to talk about was worth us dealing with these conditions.

Therefore, I came to a conclusion: he wanted to talk about a band, yes, but that was secondary. He had a more important purpose, something he needed to talk to me about. This led me to two premature conclusions:

A) He was coming out of the closet (Sam convinced himself that he was bi. He's had a lot of bad experiences with girls since then, and if he was capable of convincing himself that he was bi then, I figured he was capable of convincing himself he was gay.)

B) He had to talk to me about God.

To understand the gravity of the second option, you have to know something about him...

Sam is a great man, and I mean that with every shred of emotion in my heart.

His sense of morals is impeccable. He's more honest and upright than most of the Christians I know. His mind seeks order and inner peace, and he loves to help people. He would be an ideal child of God, and in a thousand ways I wish I could be like him. However, his compassion for other people leads him to defy God on a single level: homosexual rights. How can I hate him for this? His acceptance of sin is based on love. He realizes that his morals are parallel to that of the Christianity, so he asks me about God all the time. This is a critical point. Over the phone, via IM, through DOMO, we talk about God all the time. It's always questions: questions he has about God, questions Sam has about life, questions Sam has about his purpose.

He always asked. This time, he needed to talk.

If he needed to ask, we could have done it right through the phone. He needed to tell me something. This possibility sent chills down my spine and struck joy into my heart.

To my eternal happiness, possibility B was correct: he wanted to come to church with me.

I have fasted and I have prayed. Eventually I gave it to God and said, "You know every ounce of my soul wants him to come to You. Take him, because I cannot." Finally, my efforts are coming to fruition.

But to God be the glory. He sees my pain and answers my dedication with blessings. I am overcome with joy, and also afraid of how Sam will react...but whatever the outcome, I know God is watching, and whatever the outcome, one day the Holy Spirit will reach Sam.

Anonymous is NOT a internet hate group, and from what I gather, you practice scientology. Learn the truth.

I'm officially awesome!

I'm 20% pure stupid, 75% super-genius, with 5% pervert splashed in

Remember, remember the fifth of november, the gunpowder, treason, and plot. I can think of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot- V

You, sir, fail. As you are clearly a member of the "new Anonymous", I am forced to inform you that Anonymous IS the INTERNET HATE MACHINE. Or at least, it WAS until fucktards like yourself ruined it. Have you ever even HEARD of /b/? Ever been to 4chan? Know what EncyclopediaDramatica is? Can you define 'lulz'? Newfag.

And for the record, I'm not a scientologist. I'm Anonymous. And you are not.

*Did not expect Clyde to look like that*
I'll be getting some more on mine soon, We got the machine for CS4 working again...so that means I can scan stuff... Yay...
To tell you the truth, I fail miserably at side views... Everytime I try, everything goes out of whack on me...Gets very, very annoying at times...
o.o That was longer than I'd intended...

I've always been better at side views than front views xD By eliminating symmetry I can focus on what's actually there. When I do a front view I'll end up getting pissed at myself 'cause the eyes aren't -exactly- the same. Furthermore, I can't seem to find a way to give anime faces form :| From the side, tho', I can be more detailed :3

:iconfurby4537568:
Typically, the anime styled views should have one eye smaller or larger depending on what the view angle is...
I'll get one of my unfnished drawings with the face cross on it...Nothing's perfect, so that's why most of my drawings at angles... ^.^
Gotta go to school o.o ttyl!

Yeah, but I'm talking about straight-on portraits. 45 degree angle portraits...

>_> I have BIG problems with those, lol

I don't care about the straight-on portraits. Usually, I can get the 45 degree angles pretty good...
I got a couple unfinished ones laying all over the place...

And you guys are BOTH going to kill me... I did the drawing I though of during Science/ French and English yestersay...
I drew it with you running after the Leech, Uchi running from the leech and Summer onlooking with a sweatdrop....Lol
